About Us
We wanted to create something for those that are already having a tough time. Chaos is already happening so to overwhelm was not the way. We wanted a place where everyone could go not feel overwhelmed. We wanted you to feel understood, heard, and comfortable.
Hopefully here chaos is background noise
Turning the Leaf is a mental wellness bookstore created for moments when life feels heavy — and choosing what to read shouldn’t add more pressure.
Every book here is intentionally selected with mental and emotional well-being in mind. This isn’t a place for endless scrolling or “fix yourself” messaging. It’s a space for thoughtful reading, gentle support, and books that meet people where they are.
Some people come here knowing exactly what they’re looking for. Others come because they’re overwhelmed, grieving, struggling, or simply trying to understand themselves or someone they love. All of those reasons are welcome.
Why This Bookstore Exists
Mental health support doesn’t always start in an office or with the right words. Sometimes it starts quietly — with a book that feels safe enough to open.
Turning the Leaf was created to make that first step feel easier.
The collection is intentionally focused rather than large. Each book is chosen with care, not trend cycles or algorithms. That means fewer titles, but more intention behind everyone.
About the Bundles
Book bundles are offered as an optional way to explore reading paths that work well together — especially when choosing feels overwhelming.
Bundles are never required.
All books are always available individually.
They exist simply as guidance, not direction.
Who This Space Is For
This space is for:
Teens navigating growing pressures
Parents trying to support without pushing
Anyone moving through grief, change, or emotional fatigue
Readers who want support without shame or urgency
There is no right way to use these books. Skipping pages, pausing, or setting a book down is always okay.
A Note on Care & Content
Some collections include books that explore heavy topics such as depression, grief, and loss. Content notes are provided so readers can choose what feels right for them, when it feels right.
Support should always feel like a choice.
Our Approach
No pressure
No “must-reads”
No pretending books replace professional care
Just thoughtful reading, offered with honesty and respect.
